ADMINISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS
CounselorsTurn-About Ranch is licensed in Utah under the Department of Human Services as a Residential Facility.Ý We have qualified counselors holding both master's degrees and bachelor's degrees to meet the state requirements and provide the counseling that the kids need to work through individual issues.Ý Group counseling is implemented several times a week and individual counseling is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deal with behavioral issues, psychological issues, and substance abuse issues.Ý We are a "social" model of inpatient residential services rather than a "medical" model of a mental health hospital.Ý Teenagers enjoy the environment, develop lasting relationships with staff, and also get the therapy needed from professionals who care about what they are doing.
Alternative StaffAll of our alternative staff are stable, hard working people who provide good role models for the youth, plus a stable environment. We maintain a minimum youth to staff ratio of 4 to 1.
Medical StaffTurn-About Ranch has an RN available 24 hours a day. We also have an agreement with Garfield Memorial Clinic/Hospital which ensures us the same availability of a Physician. All psychological and psychiatric services are contracted out on an as needed basis.
